The Unreal Engine was fully utilized in these indies games.
Without the Unreal engine, where would we even be? Unreal is a mainstay for big-budget triple-A games, but it has also helped many indie writers bring their ideas to life. No matter what style it was, Unreal was able to make dreams come true.
Numerous indie games have used Unreal as their engine of choice, and all of them have a unique artistic style when rendering their worlds. No matter how realistic or stylized they are, these games are memorable.
Stray

Everyone wishes they were a cat. Stray is a game about a cat in a bleak city of the future. It is crowded, dark, and has neon lights. You are just an ordinary cat who has been split from its family and caught up in a complicated story that has nothing to do with you. You just want to get home, but you’ll need to rest a few times to get your power back.
Stray is a neon dream, an underground city made with great care that is full of robots and AI who have made you the center of their battle. After all, cats are known for their role in the class fight. It’s short and sweet, and it makes full use of the graphics engine.
What Remains Of Edith Finch

When you play What Remains of Edith Finch for the first time, you never really forget it. You’re thrown into a complicated family past that comes to light through short stories. As you walk through your family’s old home, you see how the Finch family members who lived there before you died.
They are all different in tone and style. Some are very realistic, while others are more like cartoon strips. Like many other walking simulations, Edith Finch doesn’t want you to rush through it. Take in the lush wilderness outside and the glowing sunset that lights your way through this confusing house.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

This could kind of be a lie.People call Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice a “double-A” game because it has the graphics and gameplay of a triple-A game but is shorter and made by an independent company. Hellblade isn’t as big as games like God of War or Horizon: Zero Dawn, but it still has a lot to say. In fact, one of its best qualities is that it is short.
Hellblade is great not just because it looks great and has good gameplay, but also because Senua is brought to life by an amazing performance. It made a name for itself in the history of video games by pushing the game’s system to its limits.
Rocket League

Listen, what if you could play soccer (or football, if you prefer) in a car? Rocket League is a crazy multiplayer game where you and your friends try to score goals by controlling a team of rocket-powered cars. All done. The idea behind this game couldn’t be simpler or more silly, but it quickly became one of the most famous multiplayer games of its time.
Half demolition race and half soccer, Rocket League is most fun because of how chaotic it is. No matter what platform you play on, you can get together with your friends and have a good time.
Observer

A cyberpunk future is the one thing that no one should want in this world. The story of Observer takes place in Poland at the end of the 21st century, after a virus called the Nanophage killed off a lot of people. You are a “Observer,” a spy for the corporate-government who breaks into people’s minds to keep things in order. It’s a terrible job. This world has flaws.
Observer is a game that never lets up on being dark and heavy. Its details are grotesque, and it is full of body horror and flashing screens. It shows a world on the edge of a cliff, right before it falls. There is a perfect amount of stress. And hard to avoid.
Goat Simulator 3

Do goats cause trouble? Maybe not in real life, but they are in Goat Simulator 3 and all of its predecessors. This is an odd game where the only way to win is to make as many problems as you can. That was the plan, of course. Goats in the wild are happy to eat grass and lick minerals. But not your goats.
Goat Simulator 3 is a pretty game that you might not expect to be so pretty. It has natural views that can compete with the best open-world games. Not that you really notice, since you’re too busy making trouble. It’s one of those games whose attraction seems hard to explain, but everyone loves it. Maybe we all just want to act like rude children.
Abzu

The ocean is huge, deep, and full of scary, living things. Abzu takes you below the waves, where there is a lot of life and beauty. As you swim in the endless ocean, bright animals and plants are all around you. You don’t have much to do other than explore. The story is thin, and it’s up to you to figure out what’s going on. But that’s not why you’re here.
You’re here because Abzu gives you a sense of peace that goes all the way through. It’s a beautiful game that needs both good graphics and well-made landscapes to give you a lasting sense of awe.
The Pathless

The Pathless was made by the same company as Abzu, but it focuses more on the story than Abzu did. Eggy Car is an open-world game in which you play as The Hunter on a cursed island with the help of an eagle. Your goal is to lift a terrible darkness from the earth.
The look is simple, but that doesn’t make it any less amazing. It gives you a smooth experience that perfectly blends beauty and gameplay. The Pathless is a great piece of art in a world where most open-world games have images that feel almost too real.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits

The ghosts need help, which you are the only one who can give. In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, you play as Kena, who helps restless spirits get to the next world. Kena will use her skills to bring peace to all the people who still haunt the world with the help of her friends, who are called the Rot.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits finds the perfect balance between artistic vision and graphic power by combining the beauty of nature with bright, almost neon-like lights. This is one of the best games on the PS5 because it has artistic characters and places that are drawn in great detail.
Hello Neighbor

You probably don’t want to ask this kind of guy for a cup of sugar. Hello Neighbor is a scary spy game where you have to sneak around a bad neighbor. Since you are sneaking around his house, you are also (kind of) a bad neighbor. If this person wasn’t up to no good, you might almost feel bad about what you’ve done. Almost.
Hello Neighbor is scarier than it should be. It has a comical style and a look that moves between the comforts of a cul-de-sac and the loneliness of modern suburbia.
